Animated movies have changed and evolved ever since Walt Disney's early animated productions like Snow White. Back then, the art and science of animation production were still novel wonders to most viewers. As time passed, cartoon movies that were previously drawn by hand were supplemented by features offered by computers.
Three Dimensional CGI (computer generated imagery) began to appear in animated classics of the late 1990s. Soon after came the advent of fully CGI movies such as Pixar's Toy Story. For a while, CGI movies were released slowly. Technology evolved and more artists came into the market, until CGI movies started to be released frequently by many different studios. That leads us to where we are today, enjoying increasingly quality of CGI animation.
